My triumvirate of sales reps from SWS/Crane came by (Harold, Sheena, and Beth) to show off some crazy EOM deals:
Joel Gott Sauvignon Blanc California 2008. Grade=Outstanding. A nice, easy-to-drink SB with some bright notes of lemon and lime. A bit of dried herbs, grapefruit and guava peak through as it finishes up with some pleasing acidity.
Joel Gott Chardonnay Monterey 2008. Grade=Outstanding. Medium-bodied, tank-fermented Chard with just a hint of malo to give it some roundness and fleshiness intermingled with Burgundian-like acidity. My kinda Chard.
Joel Gott Cabernet Sauvignon California 2007. Grade=Outstanding. A very tasty California Cab with juicy black fruits, a hint of spice and chocolate. Medium-bodied with nice grip.
Joel Gott Zinfandel California 2007. Grade=Outstanding. Medium-bodied with some nice peppery black and blue fruit flavors, some brambliness and jamminess with zesty spice at the finish.
B.R. Cohn Chardonnay Sonoma County 2008. Grade=Outstanding. Nice, slightly cream Chard with some ripe apple and pear notes, a bit of toasted brioche, butterscotch and vanilla.
B.R. Cohn Cabernet Sauvignon North Coast 2007. Grade=Outstanding. Hints of blackberry, black currant, dark cherries, mocha, espresso, cedar and tobacco intermingle in this medium-to-full bodied effort. Very nice.
