97 Points Robert Parker, “Medium garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Shiraz Old Bastard (in refrence to the 1863 vines that produce this wine) reveals a complex, enticing nose of red and black fruits – mulberries, red currants and cherries – with nuances of sandalwood, dried roses, underbrush, Provence herbs and star anise. Medium to full-bodied, it is maturing with great elegance and grace on the palate, offering multilayered earth, spice and fruit flavors supported by very fine-grained tannins and balanced freshness, finishing with excellent length.
