This is the first straight rye whiskey made in PA in over 25 years. Pennsylvania is a historical region for fantastic rye whiskeys, and this classic mash bill really stands out compared to others. The nose is noticeably hot, but yet creamy in viscosity. The first sip starts on the sweeter side, then quickly moves to warmer and spicier flavors. The finish is dry and medium in length. Overall, this is a great break from the usual Indiana Ryes we are all used to drinking.
