The nose is strong with notes of baking spices, dried fruits, mesquite wood, and tobacco. The first sip has the classic oak, vanilla, spice up front, but then warmer flavors start to work their way to the sides and back. Pipe-tobacco, dried apples, white-pepper, and cookie-dough are all pleasantly present. The finish is on the long side, and has a very desirable oaky lingering flavor. Overall, this a great cask strength night time pour, that would pair well with a cigar, and campfire.
