Stan’s Margarita:
My wife and I acquired our taste for frozen margaritas living in Dallas for 16 years. Of course, developing a home version was a must. Here’s my tried and true recipe for your collection.Simple Frozen MargaritaAdd ingredients to 5-cup blender jar or scale to your blender’s size:
- Use micro grater to zest rind from one half of a fresh lime
- Squeeze the juice from the “bald” half of the lime, save the other half for garnish
- 3 oz. tequila; silver or gold will do just fine
- 2 oz. triple sec
- About 5 oz. frozen limeade concentrate (1/3 to 1/2 of the 12 oz. can)
- Fill the blender jar with ice cubes, add an oz. or so of water so your blender doesn’t choke
- Blend until smooth, add a little water if it is too chunky
Take the squeezed lime and rub the rim of your glass, then dredge in coarse salt. Pour, garnish with a lime slice or wedge and, Ole!
Mix it up sometimes on the salt rim. I like to add a bit of sugar and cayenne pepper to the salt before dredging.__________________________________________
Joe’s Margarita:
2/3 favorite tequila, 1/3 triple sec or Cointreau and fill with Tres Agave or Simple Truth Organic Margarita Mix to taste. The key is the Organic Margarita Mix👍!! It’s not to sweet and it’s not to sour! It’s a simple recipe and it is better than most restaurant margaritas I have had! Happy Cinco de Mayo 👍🍹👏🥃🤪!!!__________________________________________
