DEP’S Direct Update:
New DEPS Direct wines have just landed from across the pond and we are super excited to tell you all about them. We search high and low for DEPS Direct wines, and only exclusively import the wines that are mind-blowing values.
- POUR LE VIN
Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Syrah – All $6.96
“Bistro” or “table” wines for any and all occasions, these wines come from the sunny South of France. Each varietal tastes exactly as it should, so if you have a friend or family member who loves Sauvignon Blanc or Syrah, these are sure to be right up their alley. P.S. The Merlot is our favorite!
2. UVA NON GRATA GAMAY $7.96
Gamay was outlawed by Philip the Bold in 1395, and this bottling pays homage to the winemakers who rebelled, and hid forbidden Gamay vines among the “noble” Pinot Noir vines. In their honor is this deliberately disruptive example of the grape, from the South of France.
3. LA RUCHETTE DORÉE CÔTES DU RHÔNE $9.98
Perhaps the greatest find of all is our DEPS Direct Côtes du Rhône. A blend of Grenache and Syrah from the Southern Rhône Valley, most of the vineyards are surrounded by fields of lavender, rosemary and olive groves. These quintessential notes carry through to the wine, and are matched by elegant yet bold fruit.
The Adaras wines are the total package. Not only are the labels unique and eye-catching, but the wines are absolutely delicious. They are flying off our shelves, and we won’t get any more until 2020, so come get some soon!
- ALDEA $9.98
A blend of Syrah and Garnacha Tintorera that is the ultimate House Wine, as the label suggests. 91 points James Suckling.
2. CALIZO $11.98
100% Garnacha Tintorera, this wine is farmed organically and truly drinks 2-3 times its price. 93 points James Suckling.
3. TILENUS VENDIMIA $13.99
From Spain’s hottest winemaker Raul Perez, comes this bottling of Mencia from the Bierzo region of Spain. If you haven’t tried the grape Mencia yet, this is a perfect place to start, with classic notes of white pepper and crushed berries, and a velvet-y mouthfeel. 92 points James Suckling
4. LAVIA ORIGEN
Monastrell and Syrah are blended in this full-bodied, tannic, serious wine. It is basically a Spanish wine for your Cabernet-loving crowd. A remarkable price for a wine of this caliber. 91 points James Suckling
1.ITALIA PROSECCO $8.98
Finally, our very own Prosecco under $10 that we absolutely adore! Much more than just a special occasion fizz, this dry Prosecco is ideal for any time you just want a good glass of bubbly. Makes killer mimosas too.
